Connectivity for crew, EFB devices, and the operation around them
eSIM Copilot supplies and manages mobile data for crew, EFB tablets and ground teams across the whole route network.
The operational problem
Your routes cover more countries than any mobile network deal.
An airline operates in more countries than any mobile network agreement covers. The people who most need connectivity move through the gaps.
Today
- Crew on personal roaming, day passes and airport SIMs
- EFB tablets without dependable data at outstations
- Diversions leave crews unconnected
- One mobile network deal for a hundred countries
With eSIM Copilot
- Managed plans per crew base, fleet and role
- Data-only eSIMs on every route, MDM-friendly
- Top-ups pushed in minutes, by ops or the crew
- Multi-network coverage that follows the route map
How eSIM Copilot works

Day to day
How operations and crew use it.
Operations & IT
- 01
Load the estate.
Import crew members and EFB devices, grouped by base, fleet, or department, via the portal, bulk actions, or the API.
- 02
Set coverage and policy.
Choose regional or global plans per group, set spending limits and approval rules, and decide what crew can self-serve.
- 03
Provision in bulk.
Push eSIMs and plans to the whole group. Install is a one-tap flow or QR code, compatible with MDM-managed tablets.
- 04
Monitor and reconcile.
Watch usage by base and route, catch anomalies, and hand finance one invoice instead of a season of roaming claims.
Crew
- 01
Install once.
The eSIM goes onto the device once: iPhone, Android or an MDM-managed tablet, alongside any personal SIM.
- 02
Coverage follows the roster.
The same eSIM connects on every route. No airport SIMs, no per-trip setup.
- 03
Operations stays in control.
Plans assign and renew centrally, by base, fleet or role, with usage visible live.
- 04
It just works.
A diversion or extended layover needs no action. The eSIM stays connected. The airline sets the limits, controls and approval flows for top-ups.
Pricing
One shared data pool, controlled per person.
Buy a single pooled allowance sized to your route network. Crew, EFB tablets and ground teams all draw from it, within the limits you set. Priced to your footprint and headcount, on one invoice, not plan by plan.
A pool across the network
One shared data allowance covering your route network, regional and global. Resize it as the schedule changes; usage rolls up by crew base, fleet and department.
Limits set per person
Give each person a cap that fits their role, grouped however you run the airline:
- Role: crew, EFB, ground, office
- Crew base or station
- Fleet or department
- Per-person overrides
Priced to your footprint and headcount. See procurement and RFP information.
Enterprise sign-in, role-based access, audit logs, and independent penetration testing, with device lifecycle staying in your MDM. Full security detail lives on the procurement page.
FAQ
Common questions from airline teams.
Can eSIM Copilot supply connectivity for airline crew?
Yes. Crew members get regional or global data plans drawn from multiple mobile networks covering 200+ countries, assigned per person or per device. Operations keeps central visibility of usage and spend by crew base, fleet or department.
Does it work for EFB iPads and shared devices?
Yes. Plans attach to devices as well as people, so EFB tablets, spare devices and pool equipment can be provisioned in bulk. Installation uses standard eSIM activation codes and QR flows, which work with MDM-managed tablets.
How does it handle irregular operations?
Nothing needs to happen. Crew eSIMs are always on, with multi-network coverage in each country, so a diversion or delay does not need a new plan or a top-up. The airline sets the limits, controls and approval flows that govern any extra usage.
Can it work alongside our MDM?
Yes. eSIM delivery uses standard activation codes and QR provisioning that slot into existing MDM device workflows, and the API and webhooks let you automate assignment from your own systems. eSIM Copilot manages the connectivity layer; your MDM keeps managing the device.
What reporting does operations get?
Usage and cost by user, device, country and group, exportable and available over the API, with a single consolidated invoice for the whole estate rather than per-country billing.
Does eSIM Copilot respond to airline RFPs and RFIs?
Yes. Company, commercial, security and service-delivery information is published on our procurement page, and RFP or RFI packs can be sent to sales@esimcopilot.com.
